It feels good to have the spark again. Covid took a toll on many folks, and extinguished the ability to pursue many dreams, goals and ambitions. It put a halt to a business built from love that I invested everything in for 20 years.  But even through those difficult times – my love for telling stories with my lens was never fully extinguished. During that time, I took on a full time office job, which gave me the ability to hone in on new skills around video production & editing and visual design. I put my photography on hold to support my family, as at the time my husband was not able to work as he was in the process of acquiring his green card. That time gave me the ability and opportunity to reflect upon the trajectory of my work, what I valued, what I wanted to focus my lens on when the time to pursue it with everything I am felt right. Now is that time.

That time gave me the ability and opportunity to reflect upon the trajectory of my work, what I valued, what I wanted to focus my lens on when the time to pursue it with everything I am felt right. Now is that time.

The beginning of my career behind a camera started off with photographing portraits of my new daughter, and taking selfies to learn more about how to work with the technical aspects of my gear, light and composition. This eventually moved into shooting family portraits, and quickly transitioned to photographing weddings. Weddings at the time were my bread and butter and I loved shooting such a happy and memorable day for so many clients. As I became more comfortable in my skills, I aimed to diversify – I learned how to shoot with studio lighting, and pursed opportunities in the commercial and fashion industries. I worked on various campaigns with advertising agencies, with high end environment planners for events like New York Fashion Week and for individual clients building their brands and visual stories.

It has been interesting building this new site and portfolio – going through 20+ years of work, re-living shoots in my head as I look upon the images that came from them, each one reinvigorating my ambition to reach for new opportunities that only my camera can provide.

My journey through my lens has not been a conventional one. I have had no formal training, did not pursue a degree in the filed, haven’t worked with any big agencies – it has been entirely build from the ground up and with a lot of grit, and most importantly a lot of heart.  I LOVE what I do, I am passionate about what I do and the images I take, and I feel that I am great at what I do because I am willing to take the risk to get the shots – because I truly believe in, with all my heart, the stories that need to be told, by the people, places and causes that need to tell them.

Whether its in the field, or in the studio, this dedication to my craft translates across the vast array of work that I have had the privilege to do, and will continue into this new chapter of work yet to be done.

In this new chapter – my goals is to break through into new worlds of outdoor, travel and adventure/lifestyle photography.  My passion for protecting the planet and reconnecting people back with nature is paramount in the work that I create – whether through my fine art ventures, my films or my photography.

Everyday I am thankful to be able to perform this line of work – to be able to tell the stories I can with my camera and to be able to share them with the world. I am thankful for the people I have met, the places I have gone and for all of the adventures along the way that have made this life meaningful and interesting. I look forward to discovering new stories and embracing the journeys that have yet to unfold.

Thank you for following along on this journey – and if any of this happens to resonate with you – please feel free to reach out and connect and let’s see what stories we can share together. Many thanks and much love – and here’s to new adventures!
